The game of 'snake ladder' will prove to be a
test championship for Pakistan, with 5 series being the only 2
matches, with more chances to win points. The International Cricket Council has
adopted an interesting way of distributing points for the Test Championship,
with the number of matches being 2 or 5 total points being 120.
In the two-match series, you will get 60 points on victory, 30 on a tie
and 20 points on a draw, 40 points on victory in 3 matches, 20
on tie and 13 on a draw. In the 4-match series, the successful team will
get 30 points, 15 on the tie and 10 points on the draw.
Similarly, in each series of 5 matches, there will be 24 points
for victory, 12 for tie and 8 for a draw. In this 2-year period of
Pakistan, 5 series consists of only 2 matches, Green caps this
year Sri Lanka (home) and Australia (O), next year Bangladesh (home),
New Zealand (O) and South Africa in 2021. (Home) will play the
series. Meanwhile, the next series of 3 Test matches from England is
also scheduled next year.
On this basis, Pakistan will get 120
points from a clean sweep in a series of 2 matches. If one match wins,
they will get 60 points but if they lose, then they will have to lose
the same points.
